Formation of transport and logistics infrastructure of the enterprise

This article analyzes the formation of the transport and logistics infrastructure of an enterprise as an integral part of the functioning of logistics flows. The objects of transport infrastructure are described and its most important elements are highlighted. Criteria are singled out according to which the necessary type and shape of the warehouse is determined at the enterprise. A method is given for calculating the enterprise’s need for storage space, as well as the required storage area. It describes the role and objectives of the transport sector, the main criteria for choosing the type of vehicles, depending on the objectives of the enterprise. Based on data from the State Statistics Service, the dynamics of development of different types of transportation are determined. The specificity of the choice of road and rail transportation, their advantages and disadvantages is determined. The main factors that allow optimal placement of elements of the transport and logistics infrastructure are given.
