The formation of the opinions of P. A. Stolypin on the need of progressive land management of peasants

The article is devoted to the analysis of formation of views of P. A. Stolypin on the need for liberation of Russian peasants from communal land tenure. It shows the influence on the outlook of the future reformer of the views of his relative, the advanced enthusiast of farming - D. A. Stolypin known by the reorganization of agricultural production and life in his estates. Using the positivist method of Auguste Comte, the landowner summarized the scientific basis for the feasibility of establishing farms and developed the optimal conditions for their formation under Russian conditions. Welcoming the release the peasants from serfdom, he had written numerous articles and pamphlets, which were sometimes combined in the whole volume. Getting to know of innovation of D. Stolypin convinced that his ideas and principles later formed the basis of land reforms and were embodied in the life by his nephew. The article also points to a rich personal experience of successful landowner and head of the agrarian provinces of P. A. Stolypin, evidences of his deep belief in the feasibility of a radical land reform, allocation of separate farms and development of farm economy. Thus, it was confirmed as a step-by-step, as climbing to the top of the government, by petitions and appeals to the public, to parliamentarians and to the emperor, as well as resolute and concrete steps he approaches possibility of release farmers from the collective responsibility and giving them full freedom of choice - for peace and improve the lives of peasants, create additional social base of the supreme power, the acceleration of economic development of Russia.
