Introduction. The relevance of the research topic is due to the growing interest in studying the place and role of Orthodoxy in modern Russian society. Nowadays, the process of revival and development of new forms and methods of spreading Orthodoxy is actively developing in Russia. Materials and methods. Based on the reports on missionary activity, the authors analyze the forms and methods of missionary activity of the Salekhard diocese in 2011-2021. Research outcomes. The missionary activity of Salekhard diocese was initially carried out in simple forms, but over time, there is a sharp increase in the volume of missionary work and the emergence of new forms of missionary activity.
