The status of young scientists in Russian society is researched in the paper. The legal acts, which enshrine their position, are identified. Young scientists face challenges in the process of their professional development and some of them are researched. The authors provide a generalized description of the support measures for young scientists in Russia. We have realize studing and monitoring effectiveness of these measures carefully.
