Philosophical meaning of photography is that it reveals an ancient mode of viewing the world. Its central principle is the «intelligence» of all things and phenomena. Things contemplate and mirror each other. There are two principal processes in the world: objectification and reflection. The objectification is the descent of an eidos into matter. The reflection is the return of the eidos to itself. In this article the photography is viewed as one of the modes of this return.
