Franco-Russian relations in 1807-1812

The article examines the issues of the possibility and feasibility of allied relations between different political and economic courses of the two empires based on the analysis of specific historical events during the period of Russian-French diplomatic relations 1807-1812. The thesis of the paradoxical relationship between the two states during the Napoleonic campaign in Eastern Europe and other issues in the field of French foreign policy is substantiated.
