Functional and genre-stylistic variety of educational publications

The development of scientific and publishing activity is relevant for education in Russia. Modern educational space has many technologies, developments, and new practical solutions that are necessary to be promoted for the purpose of sharing experience among colleagues. In this regard, the issues concerning the confirmation of research performance of an institution in the printed form come to the fore. The article presents an informative overview of the genre and stylistic specifics of publications prepared at the Research-and-Educational Center under Institute of Socio-Economic Development of Territories of Russian Academy of Science. The article substantiates the relevance of the problem, enumerates the main forms, functions and principles of publishing, and also reveals the importance of this process in the activities of an educational institution. The authors give the classification of the types of publications the research- and-educational center, and describe the tasks and prospects of this work. The article shows that the dissemination of printed publications in the scope of the educational environment of the region and the country as a whole plays an important role in the popularization of performance results of the research-and-educational center. The review describes the main editions that are prepared in the research-and-educational center, presents the information about their specifics and circulation; the authors conclude that the Research-and-Educational Center under Institute of Socio-Economic Development of Territories of Russian Academy of Science has developed an efficient system for the preparation of printed materials that summarize the practical experience in the chain “school - university - graduate school”.
