The functional state of the cardiovascular system of overweight and obese patients in the gender aspect

The article provides data on the functional state of the cardiovascular system and the vegetative balance of the body of overweight and obese patients. The study included 30 men (average age 46.78±2.37 years) and 30 women (average age 47.25±2.65 years). Overweight and obese women have a high level of functional state of the cardiovascular system and higher activity of the parasympathetic division of the autonomic nervous system in comparison with men, with the effect of economizing the functional reserve and preserving the adaptive capabilities of the body.
