Functional state of the thyroid gland in persons with the periodontium pathology under the conditions of natural iodine deficiency

In the article the functional state of thyroid gland is studied in the young persons with chronic catarrhal gingivitis, who live under the conditions of iodine deficiency. The stomatological examination is carried out in the young persons, who have signs of the chronic catarrhal gingivitis and concurrent diagnosis “Nontoxic diffuse goiter”. It is determined that the diffuse nontoxic goiter in 83.8 % cases is combined with the chronic catarrhal gingivitom.
