In any society, the family as a unique historical phenomenon has a dual character. On the one hand, it is a social institution, on the other, a small group that has its own laws of functioning and development. The institution of marriage is closely connected with the institution of the family. Until now, there is no single nosological form for an unambiguous and comprehensive definition of a number of disorders that are called "obsessive-compulsive". Moreover, there is a rather peculiar tendency towards the generation of "new" OCDs, when they try to distinguish into separate groups such variations of obsessions as "obsessive preservation of information", "obsessive doubts in relationships", "obsessive jealousy", etc.
