Functioning of adverbs with the meaning of "limited frequency"

The given paper scrutinizes the functional potential of adverbial units with the meaning of “limited frequency” in the German language. The author marks out the expression of the iterative meaning of the adverbs at the morphological, lexical, lexical and grammatical levels of language and the semantic potential of the studied adverbs based on the analysis of dictionary definitions. The author examines the environment of updating the semantic potential within the context of functioning of the adverbial units.
