The habitus component of the translator's competence

It is noted that mastering the special component of translation competence requires immersion in one or another area of the translator’s actions in order to familiarize oneself with professional habits. It is emphasized that in order to teach student translators this immersion, further conceptualization and categorization of this component of translation competence is required, which will justify the allocation and explicate the content of its habit component. The basis for its selection was the variety of areas of professional interlanguage communication, topics and genres of translated materials, resulting in various translation problems and difficulties.
