Galician Rus' in fight for faith and nationality

The article deals with the problem of the civilizational security of the Russian population of Galicia as a part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The authors postulate that the religious and linguistic identities are the basic categories of the civilizational security. One can find in the article the description of the stages of the selfless struggle of the defenders of the Orthodox faith, language, and school and generally of the defenders of the Russian world in Galicia against the violent imposition of Latinism and Uniate Church, that was holding by the Austrian government and by Poles since the 1770s till the beginning of the World War I. In the context of this problem the author deals with the history of the Ukrainophilia in Galicia as Austro-Polish project, oriented against the Russian Galicians and Russia in whole. The author concludes that the purposeful destruction of the Russian world in Galicia was the aim of its Austrian and Polish owners, who used the sophisticated techniques and tools to achieve this purpose.
