Introduction: The realisation of the rights of participants in criminal proceedings depends on the quality of normative-legal consolidation of the system of guarantees of these rights, as well as the effectiveness of the investigative bodies in ensuring and observing the latter. The realities of investigative actions with coercive potential are characterised by a high degree of complexity and the possibility of significant restrictions on the rights of their participants, which in turn requires the consolidation of a system of conditions and means to ensure the observance of the rights of participants in investigative actions. The author analyses the legal enshrinement of guarantees of the rights of participants of investigative actions involving the use of measures of physical influence, considers the problems of their implementation. The relevance of the issue under study is determined by the practical necessity in exceptional cases of application of measures of physical influence, but in the absence of proper regulation, including guarantees of the rights of participants of investigative actions, law enforcers face problems with the implementation of this procedure.
