Gastroesophageal reflux and bronchial asthma in children in the Kyrgyz Republic

The objective of our research is a revealing the interrelations between gastroesophageal reflux (GER) and bronchial asthma (BA). The research covers 115 patients from 7 to 16 years suffering from a diagnosed bronchial asthma and being under in-patient treatment in The Allergology and Clinical Immunology Department of the National Center of Maternity and Childhood. As a result of the research a high frequency of pulmonary symptoms have been observed at the patients suffering from BA in combination with GER. A complex treatment of children suffering from BA in combination with GER by antireflux medication has lead to the decline of BA frequency.
