Newspaper "Orthodox Buryatia" as a historiography source (statement of the problem)

The newspaper “Orthodox Buryatia” is one of the main editions on which pages the activity of the Ulan-Ude and Buryat diocese is in detail highlighted, and also the data which are the sources for the research of formation and development of a church structure of Russian Orthodox Church in the region are published. This edition describes life of parishes and gives an assessment to the moral image of modern society, the main church events, holidays and memorable days are also highlighted in it. The newspaper is that source which helps to understand and study more deeply the development of Orthodoxy in Buryatia. Besides church events, there is a description of activities of different public figures who are interested in revival of traditions which were initially inherent in the people living in Russia, and it first of all the help to the beggars, sick and those who are in a difficult life situation. In particular there is a description of different shelters and charitable centers, the story about life of the people who are not indifferent in the destiny of the indigent ones. All this helps to understand more deeply a current state of the region and choose the necessary information for studying Orthodoxy in Buryatia.
