Newspaper and magazine publishing in Tver at the turn of the XXth century

By the example of Tver Province the article analyzes the circumstances and particular features of the provincial press development at the turn of the XXth century, defines the main typological characteristics of editions. It is the author's opinion that activation of the provincial press in the period under review was due to the socio-economic and socio-political transformations that took place in Russia in the 1860–1890s.
