Gender characteristics of psychological premises of suicide risk in students of Magadan

The formation of the risk of suicidal behavior of youth is influenced by individual psychological characteristics of the individual. Objective: the study of gender emotional, personal and behavioral prerequisites for suicide risk of students of Magadan. Material and methods. 96 second-year students of Northeastern State University of Magadan were examined, of which 67 were girls and 29 were boys. Mean age of the examined persons was 19.5±0.13 years. The diagnosis of suicide risk, the determination of the formation of suicidal intentions were carried out according to the Questionnaire of Suicide Risk (QSR) modified by T.N. Razuvaeva. The structure and severity of the used coping strategies were studied using the questionnaire by R. Lazarus and S. Folkman. Alexithymia was assessed using the Toronto Alexythymic Scale (TAS-26).
