Gender characteristics of verbal behavior in Russian linguistic culture

The article describes the representation of gender in context of linguistic personality and of the type of verbal behavior. Here gender is studied as a social construct, as the sorts of gender stereotypes of Russian linguoculture and their connection to the gender roles are described. The manifestation of gender specification in verbal communication is studied on several levels of the language. The degree of influence of the gender determinant on choosing the model of verbal behavior in the situations of interpersonal communication are defined.
