In the structure of cardiovascular diseases, coronary heart disease (CHD) remains the leader among the causes of death in both men and women. More than 7 million people die annually from CHD, which is 12.8% of all deaths [1]. Every 6th man and every 7th woman in Europe dies from myocardial infarction (MI). Over the past 10 years, all over the world, there has been a steady trend towards a decrease in the incidence of myocardial infarction with an increase in the BT segment (BMI) on the electrocardiogram with a simultaneous increase in the incidence of myocardial infarction without an increase in the BT segment (IBMPBT).
