The analysis delves into a profound intracultural conflict within the youth environment of Kabardino-Balkaria, sparked by the clash of three systems of normative regulation: traditional ethnic culture (Adyghe Khabze), official Islamic discourse, and global secular-egalitarian values. The process of forming a new religious identity among a segment of the youth is accompanied by an active deconstruction of traditional ethno-cultural identity. Gender roles have become the primary battleground in this symbolic struggle, where key social and cultural concepts are being redefined. The contemporary sociocultural environment of the republic represents a hybrid space where elements of tradition, Islam, and global values coexist and interact both conflictually and complementarily. Studying this environment is crucial for forecasting sociocultural dynamics in the region and understanding the fundamental mechanisms of identity transformation in the context of globalization. A promising direction for further research is identified as the search for pathways to dialogue between different generational and subcultural groups to ensure the sustainable development of Kabardino-Balkaria's multicultural society.
