Gender roles of a woman in traditional nomadic culture

The article considers gender roles of a woman which are typical for traditional nomadic culture. The aim is to analyze stereotype gender behavior as well as its aberrations to acquiring male features allowed in that cultural context. The author relies on the materials describing Turkik, Mongolian and Tungus peoples with a nomadic or semi-nomadic lifestyle. The topicality of the issue is caused by the interest towards the concept of nomadic culture and by need to search for the solutions for contemporary problems by means of a new system of values on the basis of combinations of different cultural types.
