Gender analysis of funeral complexes of the Turk culture of Sayan-Altay region

In the articles concerned questions, connected with reconstruction of gender relations in nomadic society of the Turk culture in Sayan-Altay region (2nd half of V - XI centuries AC). System analysis of funeral complexes of this community realized. The study of excavated graves materials of early Middle Ages let to pick out characteristics of rite, variety of which was conditioned by gender stereotypes. Because of high level of unification of funeral rite of Turk cultures population, main characteristic, which was different for men's and women's graves, is quality and quantity of burial inventory. Statistic analysis of this let to pick out groups of things, which was inherent for peoples of different sex. The specificity of gender differentiation in materials of child´s graves, which demonstrate early participation of them in the system of societies relations, was marked. Information of written sources confirms availability of steady stereotypes, connected with men's and women's status and functions.
