Chief designer N. D. Kuznetsov

This paper dedicated to Chief Designer of aircraft and rocket engines, Academician N.D.Kuznetsov (1911- 1995), who initiated establishing of Samara Scientific Center and become first chairman of its board of directors. The creative, scientific and organizational activities of N.D.Kuznetsov and his personal merits are described. The information about fields of research and developments of N.D.Kuznetsov and his collective is given.
