Radiation generator based on nonlinear metamaterial with negative refractive index

In this paper we considered three-wave parametric interaction in a planar waveguide of a nonlinear metamaterial having a frequency range properties of the "left" of the environment. We obtain conditions for parametric generation of light in a nonlinear quadratic metamaterials, including taking into account the effect of the Kerr nonlinearity. The proposed scheme parametric oscillator can be used to build models of microwave and terahertz laser source based on nonlinear metamaterial.
