Genetic codes and haplotypes of Holstein breeding bulls-sires of line reflection Sovereign 198998, whose semen is offered for sale by JSC subsidiary farm "Orlovskiy Kolos"

The scientific article is devoted to the assessment of breeding resources of Holstein breeding bulls of the Reflection Sovering 198998 line in the Oryol population of dairy cattle. It was established that in the structure of the herd of bulls of the Reflection Sovering 198998 line, the semen of which was sold in 2025, 75.86% of the population were bulls born on farms in the Oryol region, 24.14% - on farms in other regions. All the studied breeding bulls were tested for the most dangerous hidden genetic anomalies and haplotypes associated with embryonic mortality, weakening of the calf muscles, deterioration of reproductive qualities, etc. The potential of these animals, according to the official assessment of daughters, was from 11,000 to 13,000 kg of milk with a milk fat content of up to 4.00% and higher, which allows us to conclude that they are competitive in the selection process at the local level.
