The availability of high-quality breeding resources for the selection of dairy cattle in our country is currently of great importance. In this regard, the purpose of the work was to study the genetic resources of Holstein sires of JSC Betagran Lipetsk, the semen of which is used in herds of Holstein cattle in the Oryol region. For the analysis, catalogs of stud bulls and the website of Betagran Lipetsk LLC were used, as well as breeding certificates and the website of Orlovsky Kolos Farm Holding JSC, GCV JSC, Alta Genetics Russia, etc. Research showed that in Betagran Lipetsk LLC in 12 Holstein sires, alleles E'3 had the highest concentration - 100%), C2, H' and F/F - 91.7%, as well as G', X2 -75%. All sire bulls presented to breeding enterprises were tested for the presence of hidden genetic anomalies, the research results are designated as TL, TV, TD, CNF, TY, XI1F, HH3F, HH4F, HH5F, HH6F, CDF, and therefore, genetic examination shows the absence genetic abnormalities in animals. Sire bulls of European origin have high total breeding value indices - RZG (up to 146-155), sire bulls of American origin - TPI indices (up to 2484-2788). Holstein sires of the line Vis Back Idial 1013415 and Reflection Sovering 198998 LLC Betagran Lipetsk were widely used by JSC OPKH "Krasnaya Zvezda" of the Oryol region, incl. S.J.Kat 5302 NL0520253023, Gleico ET DE 0540682512, Bayalo ET DE 05404355144, D.G.D.V. Sense NL 0648440712, etc. It is concluded that the use of stud bulls by Betagran Lipetsk LLC makes it possible to reduce dependence on imported breeding resources on the one hand, and on the other hand, to use internationally recognized Holstein lines and their more productive qualities.
