The genesis of a dangerous type of terrorist threat - biological terrorism and measures to prevent it

In modern conditions, the study of the problems of biological terrorism is extremely necessary. Society should clearly understand what such a phenomenon as bioterrorism is, since unpredictable consequences and the lack of boundaries of its manifestation can cause a real catastrophe. To this end, the author has investigated the genesis and danger of biological terrorism. The methodological basis of the research is analysis, synthesis, and private scientific methods, including historical ones. In the course of the study, the author proved that the use of biological weapons by terrorists can have a greater impact than the use of nuclear and chemical weapons. Biological agents have flexibility, self-propagation, high efficiency, and a huge psychological impact on the population. In this regard, there is a need to conduct a major study of the phenomenon under consideration, in order to develop a set of measures to counteract it. A number of modern characteristics of bioterrorism and its preventive measures are new.
