Study focused on the analysis and comparison of methods for determining coal seams component composition to improve the accuracy of assessing their quality, gas content and industrial significance. Key stages included: characterization of the geological structure of the area; assessment of coalbearing capacity and reservoir quality; adaptation analysis of the Chinese experience (Qinshui basin) for the conditions of the Perm Region; determination of petrophysical parameters of coal. The practical part involves sampling coal from the Gremyachinsk deposit, laboratory studies of their characteristics (ash content, density, porosity, radioactivity) and statistical processing (correlation analysis) of the data obtained.
