Geography and history of heavy oil extraction of the oil museum of the Institute of petroleum chemistry of the Siberian branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences

The article presents the current problems of oil hard extraction and coverage of those issues by the Museum of Oil of the Institute of Petroleum Chemistry. The criteria of classification of oil hard extraction have been worked out. The history of the heavy oil use in ancient times in Siberia, the Far East and Sakhalin is considered.
