The article discusses the use of geographic information systems in the management of municipal land resources and other real estate. With the help of GIS tools on the basis of the municipal planning documentation of the municipality, the spatial information is structured and semantic information about municipal land plots and capital construction objects is structured. The practical significance of GIS for the management of real estate of a municipality is indicated.
