Geoenvironmental modeling of acoustic pollution by motor transport of a big city (by the example of Abakan)

Noise pollution of cities is the most common problem of the modern world. Analysis of its characteristics is needed to identify the peculiarities of noise propagation. According to the results of the conducted research, we have compiled a noise map of the city of Abakan. In the course of the work, full-scale measurements were made at 223 points located throughout the city. The total number of points and the size of the measurement step, the distance of 500 m, allows us to state the reliability of the results of sound pressure. For estimation of parameters of sound pressure the gradation developed by the St. Petersburg scientists was used. The key point of this gradation is the indicator of the degree of impact on the human body. The final noise map, in the presence of a detailed analysis of problem areas, can serve as a visual representation for the potential implementation of noise protection measures.
