Joint action of biochemical, geophysical and anthropogenous factors of pollution by heavy metals of the Baikal natural territory causes necessity of carrying out of ecological researches of pool Baikal. For an estimation of an ecological situation of reservoirs in a number of scientific works in biology, and ichthyology the evident and indisputable way of research of water inhabitants - fishes on the contents in them of polluting substances is offered to ecology.
