Geological structure and mineral resources in the atlas of Perm krai

The Atlas of geological maps of Perm Krai in geoinformation technologies (GIS-Atlas) is developed. Maps of the Atlas are made on the basis of modern geological materials, give mainly integrated characteristics, different types of division into districts, typifica-tion, and also display separate components of the geological environment. The contents of maps display the main regularities and features of a geological structure of the Western Urals and Priurals - Pre-Quarternary and Quarternary complexes, tectonics, neotec-tonics, modern geodynamics, hydrogeology, engineering and ecological geology, geo-chemical landscapes, minerals. GIS-Atlas has great opportunities for practical application in geology for the solution of various problems of environmental management and geological safety.
