Geological-geophysical basement for seismic zoning of european north-east of Russia

Questions of general seismic zoning are examined. Both traditional and new approaches for zoning that might give more positive results are suggested. Radon survey and geothermal field data alone with seismic-tectonic data have been used for zoning. Calculations of elastic and strength parameters of rocks connected to certain seismic-structural levels of Earths crust have been made to identify possible depths of initialization and earthquake focuses. Authors suggest that initiation zone and earthquake focus itself make different physical sense (nature?).
