A new technique is proposed to study physical and porosity & permeability properties of carbonate reservoirs of oil deposits with various pore structure types. The principal difference of fractured cavernous-porous reservoir from porous reservoir and cavernous-porous reservoir has been defined. It has been stated that porous reservoir and cavernous-porous reservoir virtually do not react to the formation pressure change while fractured cavernous-porous reservoir reacts to it quite significantly.
