The article deals with geometric and graphic disciplines taught at the technical university. The authors suggest a definition of geometric-graphic professional competence. Besides description of the traditional content of geometrical-graphic training, the authors describe its current state, associated with the computerization. The principle feature of the modern graphic training is 3D-modeling. The main objective of the graphic training modernization is substantial improvement of the education quality without increasing of the number of academic hours.
