Geopetroleum exploration of Muanda field in the coastal basin (Democratic Republic of Congo)

The study provides information about the Muanda deposit, located on the coast of the DRC. The purpose of this work was to make a detailed study of the petrophysical characteristics (porosity, permeability and saturation) of the Muanda deposit in order to arouse oil interest in its formation. At the end of our research, we can recall that the Muanda deposit is a mature deposit producing in the Cenomanian reservoir with a very complex lithology demonstrating good porosity in the K, I, J and G sequences among the 11 sequences that make up it. Low permeability was noted in sequences J, I and G (consisting mainly of silty or clayey limestones) after non-pore connectivity, which we suggested to operators to carry out intensification before any operation on these horizons.
