Geopolitical aspect of the Eurasian concept

The article is devoted to the geopolitical aspect of the concept of classical Eurasianism. Its basic statements are defined, they substantiate the historical uniqueness, originality of Russia-Eurasia. The modeling of its geopolitical future is considered. Much attention is paid to the views of N.S. Trubetskoy and P.N. Savitsky, the leaders of the Eurasianism. The world outlook of P.N. Savitsky, the prominent theoretician of the Eurasian geopolitical doctrine is allocated, his conceptualization of geographical, cultural, historical and geopolitical features of Russia is considered. The significance of the Eurasian ideas that are relevant nowadays is determined while choosing a geopolitical strategy of post-Soviet Russia.
