Hermeneutics as the methodological system, intended to interpretation and elucidation of mainly theological texts, was actively used during a few centuries. Presently, development of nonclassical hermeneutics, that would become the instrument of authentication of certain texts, including media texts, is required. The experience of addressing the first well-known periodical edition, the newspaper Annus Christi, that was published starting from 1597, is important. Hermeneutics research allows revealing the features of representation of media material, its content priorities.
