Hero of socialist labor V.S. Usov is the founder of fast multiplicative technologies

The article is devoted to the scientific, technical and production activities of Hero of Socialist Labor, laureate of the State Prizes of the USSR and the Russian Federation Vadim Sergeevich Usov in the development and industrial application of so-called "fast technologies" based on multiplicative technological methods. The article is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Hero of Socialist Labor, laureate of the State Prizes of the USSR and the Russian Federation Vadim Sergeyevich Usov 02.06.2025. The article presents the specific results of the "fast technologies" developed by V.S. Usov for the period 1952-2005. Usov, together with the Honored Worker of Science and Technology of the Russian Federation, laureate of the USSR State Prize, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor F.V. Sedykin, created two research laboratories ONIL-2 and ONIL-4 at the Tula Polytechnic Institute. During the leadership of V.S. Usov, the Tula branch of the Russian Union of Research and Development carried out a set of measures to involve young scientists in the development and implementation of innovative "fast technologies". One of the key points in this aspect should be noted the cooperation of V.S. Usov, with Nobel laureate, twice Hero of Socialist Labor, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Mikhailovich Prokhorov. The Sun made a great contribution. Usov as the head of the Union of Directors of Tula Defense Enterprises in the industrial application of "fast technologies" in the creation and mass production of military equipment and civilian equipment in the Tula region. Created with the direct, personal guidance and participation of V.S. Usov, "fast technologies" made it possible to reduce the development time of more than 200 new products tenfold while simultaneously providing the required technical characteristics.
