Traditionally, the religious aspect of late adulthood is considered as the last step to the other side, and in terms of sociology older persons are a social burden for society. Modernity assumes a completely different interpretation. Increased life expectancy in more than two times after the reproductive phase have created new social problems. The utility of family relations in the 20th century caused a lot of problems in the 21st century, one of them is "lonely old age", and it’s reason is not widowhood and lack of children, but divorces, and reluctance of grown-up children to take care of their elderly parents.
Gerontosophia, aging, society, loneliness
