Heterogeneity of the phenomenon “adult children of alcoholics” from the position of autoaggression: the impact of the parental addictive figure

The aim of the study was to review the phenomenon of heterogeneity of "Adult Children Of Alcoholics " (ACOA), in regard to sex and the number of parental figures suffering from alcohol addiction. To solve the tasks, 184 senior students of the university were examined, of which 60 people made up a control group, the rest were classified as ACOA and were divided into subgroups, depending on the number and sex of parental figures suffering from alcohol dependence. Results: The heterogeneity of the ACOA group in relation to patterns of autoaggressive behavior was convincingly demonstrated, as well as differences in the orientation of autodestruction, depending on which of the parents suffered from alcohol addiction. Girls whose fathers suffered from alcohol dependence (GFA) in this context represent the most prosperous group, despite the fact that 78.3% of them are prone to self-incrimination, 18% are highly aggressive, and 36.7% are inclined to experiencing feelings of loneliness...
