The Denisovskaya coal mine has complex hydrogeological conditions, which peculiarities are connected with prevalence of water-bearing quartz sandstones with weak development of waterproof persistent seams. Low dipping seam determines wide range of groundwater flow to the workings due to surface flow and infiltration recharge. Sharp filtration heterogeneity of rocks troubles drainage works when wet zones are assigned to local fractured reservoirs and the blocks between them have water-transmitting capability lower for 2-3 orders. The deposit’s peculiarities together with prognosis evaluation of water inflows, pressured water in under-coal water-bearing horizon determines necessity of pre-mining dewatering.
