Hydrographic system of the Sobakinsky lakes of the Volga region of the Republic of Tatarstan

The article provides data on the hydrographic system of the Sobakinsky lakes of the Zelenodolsk municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan (RT), two of which are listed in the State Register of Specially Protected Natural Territories in the RT and have the status of natural monuments of regional significance. The justification for the assignment of the status was the provision on the conservation of animal habitats and the growth of plants listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Tatarstan. The growth of anthropogenic impact on the system under study can cause irreparable damage to the fragile ecosystem of lakes.
