The results of hydrochemical and microbiological investigations of Barguzin valley soda-saline lakes, characterized high pH (8,9-9,4), are presented in the article. The number of different physiological groups of bacteria-destructors of organic matter (OM) was studied in the water and bottom sediments, quantitative structure had been determined.
