The World Health Organization believes that poor nutrition is one of the leading causes of major non-communicable diseases, including circulatory diseases, diabetes, some types of malignant neoplasms, osteoporosis. It has been established that in the diet of the adult population there is an excess of saturated fats, simple carbohydrates, a deficiency of fruits, vegetables, berries, fish and other seafood, a group of dairy products, which does not comply with the principles of a healthy diet and leads to an increase in overweight, obesity, the frequency of detection of which over the past 10 years has increased from 19 to 23%. The optimal activity of the human body largely depends on its nutritional status. The study of nutritional status has a multi-purpose orientation and great social and hygienic significance, since ultimately pathology of alimentary origin contributes to a decrease in working capacity and life expectancy. Inadequate intake of the necessary ingredients with food (vitamins, microelements and other biologically active substances) can contribute to metabolic disorders, the production of hormones, enzymes, a decrease in the compensatory and recovery capabilities of the body, and ultimately the formation of nutritional-dependent diseases.
