Globalization of the world economy and the global financial crisis

The article is devoted to the globalization of the world economy and the global financial crisis at the beginning of the 21st century. It is obvious that this topic became of interest to the public after the global financial crisis of 2008-2010, the worst global financial crisis since the «Great depression». Its effects are still felt around the world today. Industrial as well as developing countries continue to suffer from high levels of unemployment. In some of them, GDP has not yet reached pre-crisis levels. This global crisis was quickly followed by the Eurozone sovereign debt crisis. Emerging markets are experiencing various shocks, capital outflows, and currency depreciation. Thus, events can be observed all over the world that may raise questions about financial stability, which is a particularly acute problem.
