The article examines the situation in which there is a global food crisis that threatens not only countries. Russia and Ukraine are the main suppliers in the global food system, and the current situation has negatively affected the food supply chain. The sanctions will cause an "asymmetric shock" between the EU countries, since the member states of Central and Eastern Europe are "heavily dependent" on imports, food products, and energy resources from Russia. The world community has been trying to solve this problem for a long time, but causes arise, such as the coronavirus pandemic, the conflict between Russia and Ukraine and exacerbate tensions between supply and demand, damage consumer sentiment and threaten global economic growth. Thus, rising food and fuel prices can also significantly increase the likelihood of social unrest in the world.
