Nesting of bee-eater (Merops apiaster L.) in anomalous summer of 2017 in the Tver region

Here we report the second case of bee-eater nesting in the Tver Region. This case contradicts our earlier assumption that favouralbe climatic conditions stimulate bee-eaters to nest beyond nothern borders of regular nesting area. Rainy and relatively cold season of 2017 raises more qutestion on reasons of the bee-eaters’ nesting expansion to the north.
